After 40 years of helping Canberrans with their building and renovation projects, it was time for staff to roll up their sleeves and begin a renovating project of their own at the Southern Innovations showroom at 21 Lyell Street, Fyshwick. Officially opened in 2004, the showroom was long overdue for some attention! As the company's 40th year rolled around, Warwick Beutler, Managing Director, took the chance to lift the showroom up as an exceptional platform for introducing new products and exciting ranges to the Canberra market.

“We’re always looking for new avenues and new things that would make us stand out from the crowd. In this business you need to be a bit different—you can’t be the same as all the others," says Warwick. These latest avenues include the introduction of five SieMatic kitchen displays, a new display of Rogerseller bathroom products, the latest offerings from Villeroy & Boch and an extensive range of kitchen appliances.

But these changes couldn't have come about without the hard work of the staff. Warwick explains that they were very hands on in the renovation process. "Everything from the demolition, tiling, install, painting - and even some of the signage - were all carried out by our staff. It was a long process - we started in July last year - but everyone played a part. And the result is something to really be proud of. If you're familiar with the old Lyell Street showroom, you wouldn't recognise it today!"

The Lyell Street showroom was officially re-launched on Wednesday 25 May, 2016.
