The premium manufacturer Kaldewei has been recognised with the German Brand Award in the “Corporate Brand of the Year” category. In presenting this award, the German Design Council has honoured the luxury brand’s unmistakable positioning – from its products and its communication to the brand’s presentation at trade fairs and at the point of sale.

“For decades Kaldewei has been seen as a pioneer in the bathroom industry and a manufacturer of design classics. The company has already long had the potential to be an international luxury brand, but this was not yet reflected in its communication. This has changed fundamentally with the company’s image makeover which confidently stands on the three pillars of luxury communication – reduction, appreciation and emotionalisation – uncompromisingly expressing all three,” says Andrej Kupetz, Managing Director of the German Design Council.

“This award is both affirmation and motivation for us. Affirmation in that an illustrious jury considers our journey to date in becoming a global luxury brand as award-worthy, and motivation to continue pursuing our chosen path just as consistently,” says Franz Kaldewei, Managing Director of the company, commenting on winning the award.
 
The German Brand Award is the first competition to cover all specialist disciplines of modern brand management. The award was presented for the first time this year. It was launched by the German Design Council which has been promoting corporate design excellence for over 60 years.
