The trend for special surface finishes for bathroom and kitchen tapware grows increasingly popular. And now thanks to the superior technology of PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), the list of possible finishes include metallic, coloured, brushed or polished - and now - bi-coloured tapware. It looks like it's a trend that is here to stay.
At Axor Manufaktur, Hansgrohe’s specialist colourisation department in Germany, noble gases are “ignited” within the in-house PVD chambers to produce a "vapour" which then coats the objects with a custom finish. This technology means the finishes are more robust and lasts longer than the average powder coating process. The surfaces have greater resistance to scratches, detergents and corrosion – including outdoor, pool-side and seaside areas. The Axor LampShower would make a perfect addition as an outdoor shower, as it would also double as a light to welcome you home after your evening stroll on the beach.
Southern Innovations is the exclusive stockist in Canberra for Hansgrohe Axor and is also available throughout ACT and Southern NSW.
The Axor Manufaktur range offers a standard range of 15 different finishes; and the PVD process now makes it easier to customise your tapware with bi-coloured finishes. The mixer is disassembled and each part is coloured individually, before being reassembled and delivered to you. If you are looking for something even more unique, you can also choose to apply special lettering, logos, symbols or your favourite footy team to taps, showerheads and accessories. These are applied using laser technology and results in highly unique, personalised details for your bathroom.
